Alex Morgan is an American football player and Olympic gold medalist. She plays in the forward line for National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) club Portland Thorns FC and the United States women's national soccer team. At age 22, she was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.

In 2012, Morgan was named US Soccer Female Athlete of the Year and FIFA World Player of the Year.
